The final of the Japan Football Championship, known as the Emperor's Cup, was held at the National Stadium in Tokyo on November 23. Vissel Kobe defeated Gamba Osaka 1-0 and won their second Emperor's Cup. Kobe are also at the top of the J-League, so they have a chance of being crowned for both titles. About 56,000 people watched the final.
