KAHOKU, Ishikawa (Kyodo) -- Japanese volleyball's SV.League All-Star weekend concluded with Team Masa's straight-sets victory over Team Tomo in the men's match Sunday.

Team Masa, named after the Tokyo Great Bears' Masahiro Yanagida, won 25-16, 25-22, 29-27 at Bluecats Arena in Kahoku, Ishikawa Prefecture.

The two-day All-Star series was aimed at supporting recovery work on the prefecture's Noto Peninsula, which was devastated by a magnitude-7.6 earthquake on Jan. 1, 2024.

"It's important that we all share this together," JTEKT Stings Aichi's Torey DeFalco said. "I want to thank every one of you guys (spectators) for coming out and, (for) one fundraising, but then also being here live for the match and making it a very enjoyable environment."

Team Tomo was named after Aichi's Tomohiro Ogawa.
