TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Wednesday, lifted by Wall Street gains overnight as concern eased over the adverse impact of a low-cost artificial intelligence model developed by a Chinese startup.

On the top-tier Prime Market, gainers were led by marine transportation, insurance and pharmaceutical issues.
