A flock of swans are visiting the "swan meeting plaza" near a river in the town of Fujisaki, Aomori Prefecture, to rest their wings. Every year, about 300 swans migrate to the area around November and spend the winter there. Around the middle of March, they begin to return to Siberia and other northern regions. A second grader who visited the area with their mother said, "It was fun to see so many swans. I hope they return safely and come back again."
