Rugby: Spears storm back to down D-Rocks in League One

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- The Kubota Spears fought back from a 22-point deficit to beat the Urayasu D-Rocks 33-22 in Japan Rugby League One on Friday, with their bench making a massive impact.
The D-Rocks led 22-0 with 44 minutes on the clock. But the third-place Spears stunned the bottom club with five tries, the fourth, by Rikus Pretorius in the 62nd minute, making it 26-22 at Tokyo's Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground.
The Spears improved to an 8-2 record with a draw.
Also scoring tries for the champions of the 2022-23 season were Yuya Hirose, David Bulbring, Malcolm Marx and Finau Tupa.
The D-Rocks fell to 1-10 after missing out on the biggest upset of the season.
