The second game of the opening series of American Major League Baseball between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs was held at Tokyo Dome on March 19. Roki Sasaki, who joined the Dodgers from Japan's professional baseball team Chiba Lotte Marines, made his major league debut. Sasaki, the starting pitcher for the Dodgers, threw a 160 kilometer per hour fastball from the first pitch and pitched until the third inning. The Dodgers won the game 6-3.
