A spotted seal was born at Marinepia Nihonkai, an aquarium in the city of Niigata, on April 4. The baby seal is a female and was 83 centimeters long and weighed 11 kilograms at birth. She drinks her mother Kinako's milk well. The pup was shown to the public on April 5, displaying its adorable appearance with its soft white fur. Seals are covered with white fur when they are born. In about three weeks, the fur changes, and black spots like sesame seeds appear.
