TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba told his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim, on Wednesday that Japan wants to hear the views of Southeast Asian nations amid concerns over the economic impact of U.S. and Chinese tariffs, the Japanese government said.

Ishiba made the remark during a telephone call with Anwar.
