TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Brave Lupus Tokyo beat the struggling Urayasu D-Rocks 61-19 in Japan Rugby League One on Friday, moving top of the standings ahead of the weekend fixtures.
The Brave Lupus, already through to the six-team postseason playoffs, ran in nine tries with 56-cap All Black Richie Mo'unga and former Japan captain Michael Leitch both going over at Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground in Tokyo.
Mo'unga showed fine footwork before crossing down the right for the Brave Lupus' second of three first-half tries, helping them go 21-0 up in the opening 18 minutes.
The D-Rocks kept the game alive with two tries before the break, with Australia center Samu Kerevi going over between the posts to score for the fifth straight game, but the gap in quality between the two teams showed after the break.
Three tries gave the Brave Lupus a comfortable 42-14 lead before Leitch dived over in the 59th minute and Seta Tamanivalu crossed twice late on.
