YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) -- The Yomiuri Giants pounded out 18 hits to trounce the DeNA BayStars 12-2 on Friday in the Central League.

Trey Cabbage went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to lead the Yomiuri offense at Yokohama Stadium as the visitors jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and put the game away by adding three runs in the fourth and four runs in the sixth.

Iori Yamasaki (9-3) pitched seven innings of one-run ball for the win, while Andre Jackson (9-5) took the loss.

Among the day's other games, Shu Masuda hit a tiebreaking two-run single in the top of the 12th inning as the Yakult Swallows beat the Hanshin Tigers 3-1.

Teruaki Sato hit his Japanese baseball-leading 30th homer of the season for Hanshin.
