ANAHEIM, California (Kyodo) -- Shohei Ohtani hit a home run for the fourth straight game Tuesday, to lead the National League with his 43rd of the year, but the Los Angeles Dodgers were walked off 7-6 by the Los Angeles Angels in 10 innings.
With the game tied at 5-5 in the ninth, former Angel Ohtani crushed reliever Kenley Jansen's 1-0 cutter into the right-field seats at his old ballpark Angel Stadium for a solo shot.
The two-way star has now gone deep in four consecutive games twice this year as he extended his longest hitting streak of the season to 11 games.
The Angels tied the game on a sacrifice fly in the ninth and walked off on Jo Adell's RBI single in the 10th as the Dodgers lost their third straight to relinquish their outright NL West lead. They are joined at the top of the standings by the San Diego Padres.
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with two walks, lining into a triple play in the sixth when Angels shortstop Zach Neto caught the ball, stepped on second base to get the second out and threw to first where a runner was tagged for the third to keep the score 5-5.
