An event to try "beach seine fishing" took place on the coast of the city of Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture, on October 25. About 80 children and their parents challenged themselves to catch fish by pulling in a net spread out into the ocean. After learning about dangerous fish, they split into left and right groups and energetically pulled the net. Red sea bream, sea bass and other varieties were caught in the net, making everyone very happy. The catch was later enjoyed as part of their lunch.
