Police apprehend man over knife incident at Tokyo Disney Resort hotel

URAYASU, Chiba -- A man suspected of brandishing a knife at a hotel in Tokyo Disney Resort before fleeing has been taken into police custody.
On Dec. 1, the Chiba Prefectural Police received an emergency call from Hotel MiraCosta at Tokyo DisneySea shortly after 8 p.m. reporting "a man waving a kitchen knife" in its banquet hall.
According to the report to the police, the man entered the banquet hall during a party and took what appeared to be a knife from his backpack and flaunted it before fleeing through an exit.
Police apprehended a man on Dec. 2 in connection with the incident. The Chinese national in his 30s is believed to be a former employee of the company that was holding the party at the time.
