The sixth game of the Japan Series, which decides the No. 1 professional baseball team in the country for the year, was held in the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, on November 3. The Yokohama DeNA BayStars won 11-2 against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. The BayStars won four games first and became the Japanese champions. This was Yokohama's first championship victory in 26 years following their 1998 win, and third overall. Manager Daisuke Miura was a player in 1998, and said, "I am happy to win the title as a manager."
