REIMS, France (Kyodo) -- Japanese defender Hiroki Sekine is set to join France's Reims, a club official said Saturday.

The 22-year-old Kashiwa Reysol right back, who played at last summer's Paris Olympics and got his first call-up to the senior national team in October, has passed a physical, and the transfer should be announced Sunday, according to the official.

Sekine, who stands 187 centimeters, joins compatriots Junya Ito and Keito Nakamura at Reims.
