Baseball: Suzuki delivers 2 hits as Cubs beat White Sox

CHICAGO (Kyodo) -- Seiya Suzuki collected two hits, including an RBI double, as the Chicago Cubs beat the Chicago White Sox 10-5 on Friday.
Suzuki drove in a run with a double in the fifth inning for his first hit in five games and added a single in the seventh at Rate Field. He finished 2-for-4.
"I was prepared to swing even at balls outside the strike zone. It was good that I managed to get the bat on it," Suzuki said.
In the Crosstown Classic between the two Chicago-based clubs, White Sox rookie Munetaka Murakami singled to left in the fourth and went 1-for-4 as their five-game winning streak was ended.
"I was happy to see (Murakami) again after a while. Seeing him work hard is motivating," Suzuki said.
In other Major League Baseball action, Shohei Ohtani had a double as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 6-0.
In the Freeway Series matchup, the two-way star, who sat out the previous game after earning his third pitching win of the season, ended 1-for-4 at Angel Stadium.
